There are several cities in the USA where it rains at least one in every three days on average … and for some it’s raining not far off once every other day.
So if you’re visiting these American cities where it rains a lot make sure you take a brolly … preferably a big one.
The figures have been compiled by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) which runs the National Climatic Data Center (NCDC) that releases data on the weather patterns in the United States.
So here you go, the large US cities where it rains or snows on more than 130 days each year.
By the way, Las Vegas is the driest city in the USA with rain on just 26 days a year, followed by Phoenix, Arizona (33) and Riverside, California (34).
With all that rain in the wettest cities flooding is bound to be a big problem which is why many Americans use FloodSax sandless sandbags to protect their homes and businesses from flooding. FloodSax alternative sand bags are space-saving to store and easy to deploy. It means people have peace of mind and are ready for action 24/7 to prevent a flood.
FloodSax are vacuum-packed and resemble a large pillowcase but once they come into contact with water they inflate to weigh 20kg (44lbs) which makes them more effective than traditional sandbags at keeping floodwater out.
More than 2.5 million have now been sold worldwide.
